My mom is currently in Drew Rd. location. First, the home is located in the very best area of Escondido. When you enter, you feel like you are in your own home, with a lovely huge living room, dining room and a beautiful kitchen. Home cooked meals are always on the stove. My mom's room has a private bath and sitting area with TV. The owner, Kevin and Cherry Calhoun and their staff members are fantastic and go out of their way to make my mom feel safe and cared for. For example, my mom loved pink. Cherry bought her a pink comforter, bed spread, towels and pillows to make her feel at home. They are not only thoughtful, but they are also very skilled and knowledgeable in taking care of the elderly. Cherry and Kevin are both nurses and they oversee all the medications. When I was taking care of my mom, I was frustrated because I could not get her to take a shower. After only one week at Eagles Nest, they taught her how to use a walker and now she takes a shower on a regular basis. I am so grateful to them. I know that she is safe, well cared, and loved by the staff. I visit often and I continue to see amazing things given to my mom. Thank you Eagles Nest Eldercare for all your help. - Olivia Fordham

The decision to my parents (age 91 and 93) into a strange home for the first time was a difficult one but from the first day at Eagles Nest Eldercare Homes we knew it was the right one. The owners and caregivers helped make the transition go smoothly, attending to every need and concern we had. When I moved into the lovely home, I was weak, sick and in need of care. I will never forget how warmly they welcomed me and made me instant member of their family. They had big smiles and put me to complete ease. They have a gift of making people feel important and special. This is so important in helping to rebuild self esteem. The home was clean, fresh and decorated in good taste. The food was always good and the time spent with the owners and the staff was always a good time. My 98 year old mother spent her final 17 months, being lovingly care for at the beautiful home in Greenway Rise. She was treated with the love, dignity and compassion she so deserved. Everyone who visited her, wanted to put their names on their list of future residents. She loved the caregivers and it was evident that they loved her. When she was not able to eat what was being served, accommodations were made, and food were prepared for her strict diet so that she can eat. I can not recommend them highly enough.
